Today I’m going to address the issue of verification.
Although I know every seller will have a different take on this, I’m coming
from my own unique perspective and will be discussing my personal experiences.
I started selling my used panties over a year ago, with a
blog and a dream, I didn’t know much about using twitter then so resorted to
the fetish site’s that I’d known from my life in the fetish scene.
I quickly found that not everyone who came to me was
interested in buying (see: Non-buyers & Time wasters: what’s the difference).
It was hard to focus on those that were genuine when I had a flood of not
genuine people contacting me, as happens when you first start selling panties
online. New girls seem to get much more attention than sales in their first few
months, after that it peeters out a bit and you get more sales as buyers are
more familiar with you and you have a positive reputation.
When I started I had men contacting me off the bat accusing
me of being an imposter, after accusing me they asked me to provide them with
photo’s or to “cam verify”. I found this quite offensive and honestly very
silly on their part, who would respond to that kind of criticism let alone take
time out of their day to provide “proof” that they were who they said they
were.
After this, I took a step back and thought about things. Sure
these people were entitled to know who I was if they were wanting to buy my
used panties, and I didn’t mind showing those that were genuine, but proving
who I was to everyone who asked would take so much time that I didn’t have. I
didn’t want verification to take time away from all the other parts of my used
panty selling business that I needed to improve on and promote.
Right when I was thinking about this, I started reading
about Panty Trust; they are an independent customer advocacy organisation that
works in the used panty selling community with used panty buyers and sellers to
promote trust. They verified girls (thank god! The time and energy I’d save!),
provided each other with support and assistance to promote and improve our
panty selling businesses’ and advocated for fairness and trust within the used
panty fetish community.
The best part of Panty Trust through for me was that
potential buyers didn’t have to ask. They would just see the seal on my page
and know, so they never had to let me know that they were apprehensive (as I
know they are anyway, but it’s nerve-wracking for the guys’ who’ve perhaps not
found a way to enjoy their fetish until now, at least they didn’t have to deal
with verifying as well!)
Of course the other benefits that girls talk about were
there too: more hits on my website and more sales, but mostly, I’m just
relieved that I don’t have to verify myself every single time and that I’m now
more a part of the used panty selling fetish community!
